The working group on rural revitalization of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) held a plenary meeting to study President Xi Jinping’s important remarks on work relating to agriculture, rural areas, and rural residents, and deploy the implementation work on April 3, 2024.

All the participants through the study gained clear understanding of the related deployment of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the changes in rural areas in the new era.

The meeting decided that CAST would make full use of the organizational advantages to promote rural revitalization, and take solid steps in the fields of industrial technology promotion, science popularization and its grass-roots organization construction.

The meeting made work arrangement to the administrative departments and functioning institutions of CAST to provide targeted assistance to Linxian County and Lanxian County located in Shanxi Province.
